In 2011 we headed to Maple Creek, Saskatchewan to pick up this 1951 Chevy 5 window truck. It needed a lot of work, but everything was there — well, almost everything. It didn’t have a power train so I bought a 1979 Chevy with a 350 in it and automatic transmission. I had to shorten the frame fifteen inches so everything would fit.
I did all of the work in my garage, even the painting. I installed a sliding back window and a sun roof. The wiring was the toughest part!! It took a year to finish it, and if it wasn’t for my friend, Dennis, I’m sure it would have taken way longer. (Thanks, Dennis!)
