This 1930 Hudson was purchased about thirty years ago from the Mayerthorpe region,  supposedly as a restored unit.    Don bought it as a “running” car.   Shortly after purchasing it, Don drove the car to a nearby farm which his parents owned.  He had the car wound up to at least thirty miles an hour, and at the first stop sign, he sailed through at about twenty-five miles an hour.  He quickly became aware that the brakes were not very good.   The car then boiled over, and at that point, it became a “trailer queen”.

Only the body of the Hudson is stock, everything else has been changed or modified.  The engine is a warmed over Chev 454 and the transmission is a 700R4.  It has power steering, brakes, windows, seats, cruise and tilt steering.

The 1930 Hudson has been a long term project for Don.   He has owned four other rods during the time he has had the Hudson.
