This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck was built between 1992 and 1995 by Jack Rountree in Spokane, Washington, US.
In 2007 the pickup went on the block at Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona where it was purchased by Brian’s childhood friend, Floyd Lauer. In 2013, Floyd ran out of room for his Mopar collection and sold the truck to us. We have driven the truck to various show and shines with other members of the car club, including a trip to Spokane in 2014.
The truck was reunited with its builder, Jack Rountree, who had not seen the truck in 18 years. He was amazed that it was still pretty much the same as when he built the truck. Jack & Karen Rountree have become good friends with the members of the Sylvan Lake Customs and Classics car club and they attended the 2015 Sylvan Lake Customs and Classics Show and Shine in their SSR.
Our 54 Chevrolet truck has a 350 engine, Turbo 350 transmission, a 3.42 rear differential, air, tilt, cruise, power windows, shaved doors and digital gauges. It has been driven to British Columbia twice on holidays and we are looking forward to more cruises with our fellow club members.
