13th Annual Sylvan Lake Customs and Classics Show and Shine
The 13th annual Sylvan Lake Customs and Classics Show and Shine was held on July 13th, 2019 at the Meadowlands golf course. A beautiful blue sky and bright sunshine resulted in attracting 163 cars. Participants and spectators enjoyed the cars, the silent auction, free peanuts, free face painting, DJ music, and a 50/50 draw that benefited the Suicide Information and Education Services in Red Deer. The Knights of Columbus served an excellent breakfast and lunch throughout the day.

Trophies and Prizes
In recognition of the fact that this was the club’s 13th Show and Shine which was held on July 13th, the club decided to award trophies to the TOP THIRTEEN cars instead of the usual Top Ten. The Top Thirteen cars were voted on by car show particpants. Cars belonging to members of the Sylvan Lake Customs and Classics Car Club were NOT eligible for the Top Thirteen awards. The Memorial Plaque, which is for the top car belonging to members of the Sylvan Lake Customs and Classics Car Club), was awarded to Greg Garson.
Alf Moore (Remax Real Estate) again sponsored the cash draw for $500 for car show participants. Participants must be in attendance when the draw is made in order to win. A number of names were drawn before the cash was awarded. Ronald Scott won $100, Mike Lipiec won $150, and Diana and Russ Hamer won $250.
The 50/50 draw for $238,benefitting the Suicide Information and Education Services in Red Deer, was won by Jarrod Edmonton from Red Deer.
