Bruce and Chris Semeniuk, Bill and Deb Larratt, and Murray Fleming and Wendy Davidson attended the 2017 Super Run in Saskatoon that was held on Aug 3 to 6th, 2017. They travelled from Red Deer to Saskatoon on Thursday, and attended the Hospitality Night that was hosted by the Saskatoon Draggins Rod and Custom Club. The event was held at the club’s shop and it was very informative to learn how they ran their club and managed the projects in their large and impressive shop.
On Friday, they toured Rob Morrison’s garage and were impressed with the very exclusive FoMoCo collection.
Next, a trip was made out to the SIR Raceway for the Vintage Drag races.
There were just under four hundred cars at the show held at Prairieland Park on Saturday. It was a hot day and the event drew numerous spectators.
Pictures of Bill and Deb’s 1951 truck and Bruce and Chris’s 1972 Oldsmobile were featured on the Saskatoon Global news in the evening (http://globalnews.ca/news/3651246/superrun-saskatoon/).
Saturday and Sunday mornings began with a $3 breakfast of pancakes and sausage.
A dinner and dance was held on Saturday evening.

Murray Fleming won Executive Committee’s Choice award with his 1939 Ford.
The Super Run returns to Red Deer next year, and club members should plan to attend this event in 2018.
