Greg Garson, Val Hilker, Bill Larratt and Bruce Semeniuk travelled to Cut Bank, Montana to partake in the annual ‘Montana Fun Weekend’ held every August at the Cut Bank International Airport. The weekend included such activities as a fly-in/drive-in breakfast, Friday night burnout contest, Saturday 1/8 mile drags and a pretty large vehicle show and shine.
The boys from the Sylvan Lake Customs and Classics car club made their way to Montana to meet up with a few fellow hot rodders that Greg knows in Cut Bank. Thanks to one of these fellows, Greg, Val, Bill and Bruce were lucky enough to get access to a wreckers in the vicinity where there are still several interesting old vehicles in the wrecking yard. These are mostly project cars, but a day in an old wreckers is still a good day to all of us that enjoy looking at old iron. As Bruce says, “Montana hot rodders are pretty laid back and very friendly folks”. Their round trip covered some 630 miles of good roads and good weather.
